Broadway Records releases new Micky Dolenz record - A Little Bit Broadway, A Little Bit Rock & Roll
Michael J Moritz Jr serves as music director and pianist to Micky Dolenz, best known as the lead singer of the hugely successful rock ‘n’ roll band The Monkees, which originated from the classic sixties TV show of the same name. Micky has also starred in musicals on Broadway, the West End, and in national tours including Disney’s AIDA (Broadway), Pippin, Hairspray (West End), Grease, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Tom Sawyer, and more.
A Little Bit Broadway, A Little Bit Rock & Roll is a brand new show created to combine his love of Broadway with his love for rock ‘n’ roll in one cabaret concert.

On March 11th, 2019, No Bully presented BROADWAY AGAINST BULLYING, a one-night only cabaret at Feinstein’s/54 Below. Michael J. Mortiz Jr. served as music director.
On November 12th, Norbert Leo Butz and friends hosted two sold-out concerts at Feinstein’s 54 Below to benefit The Angel Band Project, which provides music therapy to sexual assault survivors. The concert was music directed by Michael J. Moritz Jr., hosted by Mariska Hargitay, and featured the talents of Aaron Tveit, Jessie Mueller, Sherie Renee Scott, Lindsay Mendez, Rosanne Cash, Hannah Trombley, and Jennifer Hopper.
Broadway Records will release the concert cast recording of Session Girls both in stores and digitally on September 28th. The concert, recorded live at Feinstein’s/54 Below, features music direction by Michael J. Mortiz Jr. and a cast of Broadway performers including Tony nominee Lauren Worsham (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder), Jill Abramovitz (Fiddler on the Roof), and Oyoyo Joi (The Book of Mormon).
Session Girls, a new musical by three-time Emmy nominee, Mia Moravis, will debut Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 9:30PM at Feinstein's/54 Below. Michael J. Moritz Jr. will music direct the cast of Broadway vets, including Lauren Worsham (A Gentleman’s Guide To Love and Murder), Jill Abramovitz (Fiddler on the Roof), Oyoyo Joi (The Book of Mormon), Emily Padget (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Lisa O’Hare (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder), Jeff Hiller (Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson) and many more!
On February 13th, Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera had its 54 Below concert debut. The musical, with book and lyrics by Elizabeth Searle and music by Michael Teoli, featured Ashley Spencer, Lauren Worsham (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder), and Nancy Opel (Urinetown, Toxic Avenger). Michael J. Moritz Jr. provided music supervision.
"Broadway Against Bullying", a night featuring some of Broadway's biggest names coming together to raise awareness to stop bullying and cyberbullying, returns to NYC in February 2018. Michael J Moritz Jr and No Bully will team up once again to put on this benefit concert at Feinstein's/54 Below on Monday, February 5th at 7:00pm.
