Rumer Willis and Tye Blue Show at 54 Below
Michael J Moritz Jr served as music-director, producer, and played piano for Rumer Willis’ New York City cabaret debut at Feinstein’s/54 Below. The show co-starred her talented best-friend, Tye Blue, as they attempted to explain their journey as friends and life partners through song.
Rumer Willis currently stars as Roxie in the current Broadway production of Chicago. She comes from a career of film performances, one of which she starred alongside her father, Bruce Willis, in Hostage.

Tony Award nominee Nick Cordero (A Bronx Tale, Waitress, Bullets Over Broadway) makes his 54 Below on April 10th and 11th with music director Michael J. Moritz Jr. on piano. On November 12th, Norbert Leo Butz and friends hosted two sold-out concerts at Feinstein’s 54 Below to benefit The Angel Band Project, which provides music therapy to sexual assault survivors. The concert was music directed by Michael J. Moritz Jr., hosted by Mariska Hargitay, and featured the talents of Aaron Tveit, Jessie Mueller, Sherie Renee Scott, Lindsay Mendez, Rosanne Cash, Hannah Trombley, and Jennifer Hopper.
On September 30th, Erich Bergen (Madam Secretary, Waitress, Jersey Boys), performed in concert at Sony Hall under the musical direction of Michael J. Moritz Jr. The concert featured special guests Betsy Wolfe (Waitress, The Last Five Years) and Emmy nominee Mark Ballas (Kinky Boots).
Broadway Records will release the concert cast recording of Session Girls both in stores and digitally on September 28th. The concert, recorded live at Feinstein’s/54 Below, features music direction by Michael J. Mortiz Jr. and a cast of Broadway performers including Tony nominee Lauren Worsham (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder), Jill Abramovitz (Fiddler on the Roof), and Oyoyo Joi (The Book of Mormon).
On April 16th, 2018, some of Broadway and Television’s biggest stars joined the students of Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School at the BB&T Center for a one-night-only concert benefitting MSD Victims’ Fund and Shine MSD. Michael J. Moritz Jr. music directed and conducted the performance.

On February 13th, Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera had its 54 Below concert debut. The musical, with book and lyrics by Elizabeth Searle and music by Michael Teoli, featured Ashley Spencer, Lauren Worsham (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder), and Nancy Opel (Urinetown, Toxic Avenger). Michael J. Moritz Jr. provided music supervision.
"Broadway Against Bullying", a night featuring some of Broadway's biggest names coming together to raise awareness to stop bullying and cyberbullying, returns to NYC in February 2018. Michael J Moritz Jr and No Bully will team up once again to put on this benefit concert at Feinstein's/54 Below on Monday, February 5th at 7:00pm.

Michael J Moritz Jr was involved in the second ever Elsie Fest as the music director and pianist to both Tituss Burgess and Julie James. Elsie Fest is a show tunes-centric outdoor music festival.
